World Kidney Day

On behalf of the Taranaki Kidney Support Group.

Thursday 12 March is World Kidney Day.

To promote Kidney Disease Awareness there will be a stand set up between 11am and 2pm in Centre City. There will be nurses from our local Te Whatu Ora Renal Team who will provide free Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar tests as well as medical advice around renal matters. There will also be members of the Taranaki Kidney Support Group who can share their lived experiences of the different stages of Kidney Disease – from being first diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease to Dialysis (both Peritoneal and Haemo) to having a Kidney Transplant.
