The Sam Band

The Sam Band play a colourful assortment of covers, from The Beatles and Stones, to Creedence and Bowie, to Springsteen and Cash, to Kenny Loggins and Hot Chocolate. Hailing from the Stratford area, the band have spent the past few years cutting their teeth in local pubs and at functions, building a reputation for sets as surprising as they are sing-along friendly. Fresh off their debut at Open Mic at Mike’s, this show marks their first full outing in New Plymouth. The Sam Band are: Sam Ballantyne (bass), Phil Old (vocals), Hayley Julian (drums), Matt Smith (guitar, harmonica) and Jamie Morton (guitar).
