Nana & Petal, features Paul Adams and Celine Filbee their set comprises an eclectic mix, originals, a penchant for songs written by friends & NZ songwriters such as Micheal O’Dempsey, Reb Fountain & Hammond Gamble. They include covers by Uppity Blues Women, the Devil Makes Three, Teddy Swims, Beth Hart & Tom Waits, with lesser-known compositions from the Black Pumas, William Elliott Whitmore, & bluesman C.W Stoneking, all suited to Paul’s piano style. The duo spans blues, roots, folk, and alt country, with Paul pinning down the groove & blistering solos on piano with a real sensitivity for accompanying a vocalist, showcasing Celine’s arresting vocal style, charisma & storytelling magnetism.
