Betsy, from Betsy and The Reckless bring the smoky vocals that make you think of Amy and Adele. Betsy combines NZ reggae and dub with classic blues to create a unique groove while Betsy sings original lyrics about warped love and rejection. Sam Johnson (Rhythm Ace Studio) sums up the sound as “modern day soul, with a nod to the past”, we call it “Schmoozey blues”.
