The OK Boomers – Lunchtime Concert @ Whiteley
Formed on Zoom during the 2020 Covid lockdown, The OK Boomers are a group of friends who combine harmony vocals with guitar, ukulele, banjo, bass, saxophone and percussion. This blend accidentally found popularity after their second gig, leading to performances at the Koru Project and the TSB Festival of Lights.
Despite the implications of the name, The OK Boomers play music not bound by genre or time – anything from Gerry Rafferty to Jenny Mitchell, George Gershwin to George Michael.
The band line-up for the Lunchtime Concert @ Whiteley on 9th August is:
Bev Tatham – vocals & ukulele
Andy Bassett – vocals, bass & guitar
Tony Hansen – vocals, ukulele & banjo
Peter Hickey – vocals, tenor & soprano saxophones
Damian Gilmour – percussion
This will be Damian’s first appearance with The OK Boomers – he’s actually too young to be a Boomer but we can reassure you he is OK.
