Music, Murder & Mayhem

The Stratford Shakespeare Festival brings a vibrant mix of theatre, music, and culture to the heart of Taranaki.

Taking place between the 2nd and 12th of April, the festival culminates in the Pioneer Village Festival Day on Saturday, April 12th, where history and entertainment collide. It is the free event Music, Murder & Mayhem.
Visitors can explore the charming Pioneer Village while enjoying live performances from The Madrigal Companie, Mason Brothers, Liana Hart, and a special twilight showing of Macbeth by The Barden Party at 6:30 pm.
With delicious food, train rides, and a lively atmosphere, it’s the perfect finale to a festival celebrating creativity, storytelling, and the timeless legacy of Shakespeare.
