Free swim session at Wai o Rua for Children’s Day!

If you’re aged 15 and under and keen to make a splash, this one’s for you. To celebrate Children’s Day on Sunday the 1st of March, the Stratford District Youth Council is giving away 100 free swim and ice cream combos at Wai o Rua – Stratford Aquatic Centre.

It’s happening from 1pm to 4pm, and it’s strictly first come, first served — so get in early to grab one of those free passes and sweet treats.

Child supervision rules do apply, so make sure you check those out online at WaiORua.govt.nz before you head along.

And while the free passes are for kids 15 and under, whānau are more than welcome to come along too. In fact, they’d love to see adults jumping in and joining the fun.

Just a heads-up — the pool will stay open to the wider community during the session, so it might be a bit busier than usual. But hey, that just adds to the Children’s Day vibe!
