THE ORIGINS
The Most FM started in 1995, driven by a passionate crew of radio journalism students at WITT - Te Pukenga. After over a decade of independent broadcasting, and numerous iconic hosts getting their start in radio, we fell prey to a bureacratic glitch in 2008 that took the radio off air — until its phoenix moment in the form of the Taranaki FM Trust, which continues to operate The Most as a charitable trust and Taranaki's much-loved Community Radio Alternative. A move from our former studio on Bell Street into the heart of Liardet St in 2020 puts us in the centre of it all — with our team, volunteer hosts, advertisers and interviewees all coming through the doors and living The Most Means Music kaupapa every day.
WHERE WE ARE NOW
We're one of the only fully independent, charitable radio stations in Aotearoa. You'll hear us broadcasting round the maunga (down to Kapiti on a good day) and repping our values of broadcasting awesome music, creating opportunities for local artists to be heard and grow their audiences, and contributing to a vibrant and sustainable creative community here in Taranaki. The Most Means Music!

Christine Holmes
The Primo Breakfast Show
Hi, I’m Crez, and I have the privilege of starting each weekday morning with our Most FM community.
As the host of The Primo Breakfast Show for several years, I’ve had the joy of growing alongside our listeners. After returning from parental leave, I even introduced “Baby Beats” to the studio—an exciting new chapter for us all.
Our show is deeply rooted in the Taranaki community, with a special focus on celebrating local and independent musicians. Each week, I sit down with our district mayor, MPs, councilors, WITT, Chamber of Commerce, artists, and community groups to bring you the voices that matter most.
So tune in, hang out, and kickstart your day with us from 7-10 am, Monday to Friday.

Kia ora!
My name is Kerry, born and bred in Taranaki. I love this place and the people who live here. I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
For many years I made a living playing in cover bands, working for sound companies and running recording studios.
I’m so happy to be a crew member at The MOST – it’s a privilege to work with such passionate people.

Accounts
Hi, I’m Natalie!
I take care of all things administration at The MOST FM to ensure the smooth operation of Taranaki’s Community Radio Alternative.
I love the vibe and energy that more than 40 volunteers create for the common goal of music and friendship!
I trained as a chef in Wellington and co-owned two cafe’s with my husband Nick before moving up to Taranaki to open the Shoe Clinic and raise our two children, Charlotte & Patrick.
We absolutely love Taranaki, especially the great outdoors. Pukekura Park is such an awesome spot and we always look forward to concerts at The Bowl of Brooklands!
I have always enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts, however The MOST FM has definitely broadened my musical horizons – Thanks The MOST!
