Turkey The Bird “Men, Fish, Boat” Album Release Tour – New Plymouth
Taranaki-based folk trio Turkey The Bird have started their album release tour for the release of their highly anticipated 4th album, Men, Fish, Boat. To celebrate, the band will bring their new songs to the heart of Taranaki with three intimate performances at different hometown venues.
Turkey The Bird is known for their infectious blend of catchy folk tunes, rich three-part harmonies, and toe-tapping rhythms. The new album, Men, Fish, Boat, features 13 lively folk tracks, including a standout collaboration with Auckland’s renowned ukulele band, The Nukes. With songs that blend storytelling with smooth melodies, this album promises to captivate old fans and new listeners alike.

Turkey The Bird is made up of:
André Manella (Switzerland) on guitar, bass, ukulele and percussion
Adrian Whelan (Ireland) on guitar, mandolin, bass, and spoons
Sol Bear Coulton (New Zealand) on banjo, ukulele and slide guitar
Their music has been described as a blend of “Simon & Garfunkel” with the spirit of “Mumford and Sons”, all served up with a splash of banjo and harmonies that will have you tapping your feet and singing along.
