THE HIP TOWN BANGERS

Presented by the Taranaki Jazz Club – Sunday 6th July 2025, Plymouth
International Hotel.

The quintet consists of Ben Hunt on trumpet, Alex Vujanic – tenor saxophone, Anita Schwabe (NZ
School of Music Lecturer) on piano, Emma Hattaway playing double bass and Shaun Anderson on
drums.

The long standing quintet from Wellington present original music and sounds of the 1960’s hard bop
and original jazz music inspired by musicians including Art Blakey, Lee Morgan, Lou Donaldson,
Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter.
They are known for their lively performances and are a favorite among jazz fans in Wellington.
The Plymouth International Hotel venue is a full cabaret setting with dance floor, bar and snack
menu.

Doors open 3.45pm for a 4.30pm start.
