Wellington-based folk-americana band Butter Wouldn’t Melt are thrilled to announce their upcoming album release tour in celebration of Where the roots grow deep, the first instalment of their highly anticipated two-part sophomore album.
The tour will take them to thirteen destinations across Aotearoa, including the legendary Pop-up Gigs Taranaki in New Plymouth.
This is an intimate studio concert at the Manella Production studio in Spotswood. Experience these artists up close in a cozy studio with a professional production. Think of tiny desk!
Finalists for the 2023 Best Folk Artist Tūī | Te Kaipuoro Taketake Toa, BWM are defined by their poetic lyricism and a unique sound that blends traditional folk, bluegrass, and country influences with a distinctly New Zealand flavour. Their acoustic tone is marked by intricate crosspicking interweaved with haunting harmonies while the interplay of compelling basslines and ephemeral overtones of fiddle complete their evocative soundscape.
