Studio Concert at Manella Productions HQ in Spotswood
Taranaki Pop up Gigs and Manella Productions present Rufous Whistler (AUS) live in an intimate setting.
“One of Australia’s most compelling new voices in modern folk music…” Countrytown AU
Celebrate the release of National Panic, the debut album from Rufous Whistler, the Australian folk & alt-country act turning heads!
Rufous Whistler’s debut album, National Panic, debuted at #2 on the ARIA Country charts in March 2025 and was named ABC Country’s Feature Album of the Week. With international airplay, a fervent live show, and a growing fan base, the band’s blend of folk and alt-country is resonating deeply with audiences. Hailing from Northeast Victoria (Wiradjuri Country), Rufous Whistler combines raw storytelling with modern alt-country arrangements, reminiscent of “I’m With Her” harmonies, Gillian Welch’s storytelling, and the energy of Trampled by Turtles. The band is touring extensively across Australia and New Zealand in 2025. This is alt-country music that hits home and leaves you wanting more.
In 2025, they’re hitting the road for over 40 shows across Australian and New Zealand tour, all in support of National Panic.
Saturday, 7th June – doors 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm
