Paul Lee
Paul Lee is a Kāpiti-based singer/songwriter and ukulele ninja with a penchant for observational story-telling and affectionate good humour. Since relocating to Paekākāriki, Paul’s songwriting has been drawing on the natural environment for inspiration. After all: ukuleles and the beach – what’s not to like?
Paul is best known as co-founder and musical director of the legendary Secret Lives of Ukulele. This Ōtautahi/Christchurch based super-collective headlined festivals up and down the motu including appearances at the Christchurch and Dunedin folk festivals.
Paul is thrilled to be presenting a new collection of original songs at the Fitz this month. He is doubly thrilled to be sharing the stage with Kerry Dalton (WOMAD Poetry Slam Winner 2023). Paul and Kerry have recently been writing together and collaborating under the working title of Cloud Nimbus. They will be performing their latest songs as well as a poem or two from Kerry.
Paul and Kerry are very much looking forward to a wonderful afternoon of music, words and general shenanigans at the Fitz. See you there.
As usual at Folk @ The Fitz, the first half of the afternoon will feature invited floor singers before the main act.
Entry $10. Door sales only.
