PADDLE OUT FOR OUR MOANA – WORLD OCEANS DAY

Join us this World Oceans Day for a powerful day of kotahitanga (unity), connection, and care for our moana.

We’re coming together with West Coast communities — from Whanganui to Port Waikato — in a coordinated action to protect our oceans from seabed mining.

📍 Ngāmotu – East End Beach (Autere)

1:30pm – Community beach circle: No Seabed Mining (aerial photo)
1:50pm – Paddle Out for Our Moana
2:30pm – Guest speakers & kōrero
3:15pm – Closing words

Bring a surfboard, boogie board or SUP if you’re keen to paddle, or just come along and stand in solidarity from the shore. Everyone is welcome.

☕ Warm drinks available – bring koha or cash for local coffee carts.
🌱 Together, we paddle for our oceans, our communities, and the generations to come.
