New Plymouth Pass Wide & Slow NZ Awareness Ride

Taranaki Equestrian Network have organized a ride around the streets of New Plymouth to raise awareness of the Pass Wide & Slow NZ campaign for legal recognition of equestrians as vulnerable road users.

Keep riders safe by passing wide and slow. Horse riders, carriage drivers, walkers and led horses welcome to join. Limited numbers & registration is required. You’ll find the form to complete here

The confirmed route can be found online however they’ll be starting at the Saddle and Sulky entrance to the racecourse, then looping around Pukekura Park using the residing streets. 
The route is approximately 6.4km and should take around 90 minutes.

This is expected to begin at 10.30am
