Kevin Mayes & Rosie Whinray

Kevin Mayes and Rosie Whinray met through a mutual love of unaccompanied folk-singing. Kev’s background farming in Sussex shaped his repertoire and style, while Rosie was brought up in the Auckland folk scene. Strong solo singers in their own right, they also marry their voices in harmony. Traditional folk style is honest and earthy, embodied history sung from the heart. Expect songs of land and sea, love and war, beer and wine, politics, comedy, work, magic, and very likely some songs about sheep!

As usual at Folk @ The Fitz, the first half will feature invited floor singers. Kevin and Rosie will perform the entire second half.
