Geoff Culverwell & Erna Ferry (VSOP)

This very special one time performance on Sunday 2 March at the Plymouth International Hotel headlines two of NZ’s renowned jazz icons trumpeter and keyboard player Geoff Culverwell and vocalist Erna Ferry. Geoff and Erna are backed by accomplished and sought after musicians Berndt Riess on bass, Tipi Beven on guitar and Mario Kerehi on drums.

Erna Ferry has performed as a regular soloist with the Rodger Fox Big Band while Geoff has headlined at all the NZ Jazz Festivals, performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and played as part of a
number of top international acts including Renee Geyer, Roy Phillips and Gene Pitney.

Geoff and Erna will perform an eclectic mix of music in a wide range of jazz styles drawing their inspiration from music made popular by jazz legends such as Horace Silver, Miles Davis, Nancy
Wilson, Wayne Shorter, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Hubert Laws.

Doors open 3.45pm for a 4.00pm start.
