Expect a big sound, bawdy originals, soulful ballads and obscure covers, all delivered with striking vocals from Celine. Supported by Paul Adams on the ivories, and Davey Griffiths on double bass the pair round out this powerhouse act, touching on blues, roots, jazz and alt country.

The set comprises an eclectic mix, self-penned songs, songs written by friends and NZ songwriters such as Micheal O’Dempsey and Hammond Gamble. It includes covers by the likes of, The Black Pumas, William Elliott Whitmore the Devil Makes Three, Tom Waits, and the eclectic bluesman C.W Stoneking. The songs suit Paul’s piano/organ style, he has black belt in the groove and delivers blistering solos contrasting with a real sensitivity for accompanying a vocalist. Bluesman and multi- instrumentalist Davey augments that groove and dynamic on double bass, the pair combine seamlessly to showcase Celine’s arresting vocal chops, brashness, and storytelling magnetism.
