New Plymouth singer-songwriter Andy Bassett released his eighth solo album The Orchid Thief last year. Departing from the usual folk-rock format of his previous albums, Andy co-arranged the songs for strings & woodwinds with former Taranaki musician Jarrod Bakker. For this year’s performance in the Lunchtime Concerts @ Whiteley series, Andy will be joined by Jarrod on piano and bass, along with Krissy Jackson: first violin, Helen Griffiths: second violin, Susan Case: viola, Margaret van Altena: cello, Jocelyn Beath: flute, and Jo Henderson: oboe, plus special guest Liana Hart on harmony vocals.
