Hi, my name is Julien and I've been part of the Most FM family for the past 7 years, starting with the French Artyshow in 2004.

I now run a show called the Mixdown every Friday between the hours of 1 and 2 pm under the name of The Fuzzbox.

The boys at the radio saw me one day with that bright orange mp3 mixer and called it the Orange Psychedelic Fuzzbox!

The named stayed and that's my DJ name now, on the radio or when I DJ somewhere else.

The music I play is very much based on Soul-Funk, Jazz and Reggae. I've always been curious about how these sounds have been integrated into local musics across the world.  From Africa to the Americas, Europe to Australasia, I'm looking for those niche musics that unfortunately don't get much air time but are the real musics of the people.  I'm also a big fan of Hip-Hop and Electronica, so you'll hear a lot of Reggae-Funk-Hip-Hop mashups on the Mixdown, as well as more electronic remixes and re-edits.

I've been collecting music for quite a while now, mainly mp3s and vinyls. The internet is my main source of information. Few times a week I check a dozen music blogs that keep me up to date with what's going on in the world of music. Some of the tunes are available for free, sometimes I have to buy the mp3 and if it's a killer track or album, well there is good chance I try to get the vinyl!

So the Mixdown's got some pretty fresh sounds, there is always new materials mixed with older tunes.
