Operating since 1993, The Most is now part of the Taranaki landscape, a welcome relief to the blandness and repetition of commercial radio. We are a station with soul and attitude that reflects Taranaki's diverse community and activities. In fact, we celebrate this!  Real live announcers infact over 30 of them every week with interviews and guests from bands, the arts, business and the community.

The Most is operated by the Taranaki FM Trust, a registered charitable trust, relying on the time and effort of many volunteers and helpers. Our aim is to provide a community based, semi commercial alternative to main stream radio that focuses on a progressive mix of local, New Zealand and International music to listeners in Taranaki.  We have regular breakfast and drive shows weekdays, and a huge range of volunteer shows in evenings and weekends that cover many musical genres.

We keep advertising to a minimum, averaging under 3 minutes per hour.  We need to meet our operational costs e.g. staff, broadcasting fees etc from advertising and sponsorship revenues, but rely on grants and donations for equipment upgrades and expansion.
